Poor Housekeeping
Poor housekeeping could result in injury, as well as potential fire. It is not uncommon for security guards to provide security in private residential homes.
Watch for the following, and document the information in your notebook:
- Flammable material, such as gasoline, that is not stored in approved airtight containers
- Combustibles, such as cardboard boxes and paper, stored too closely to heat sources, such as furnaces, motors, stoves, space heaters or boilers
- Vapors escaping from flammable materials such as alcohol, gas acetone, paint, etc.
It is important to document these issues in your notebook. Should an incident or fire occur, you could provide evidence of what may have caused it.
